Squeaking ARB Bush

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by orangefeeling, Mar 15, 2017.

  1. 300 miles ago I replaced the ARB bushes whilst doing some work on the front suspension. Standard black rubber ones.

Now the nearside one has developed a squeak - its really really irritating!

At the risk of sounding rude, is there something I can lube the bush with? Although if its the same quality as the rest of the rubber parts I suppose it may just have perished and split already.

My stereo is out of action, so I can't use my usual 'fix'......

  2. Try a can of of silcon lubricant - this usually quietens things down and won't perish the rubber AFAIK.

  4. Do you reckon silicone will fix the other one then or is there a mouse in the steering?
