    Hi,
Not a kit as such. I posted an articLet on the prototype bay forum some time ago with all details. It’s still there on 2nd page of their “technical” section , about the 19th down. Any problems finding it please let me know. It’s an easy diy job and really makes a massive difference....actually enjoy raising and lowering roof now.

    Well Lila,
Your right , SGS have the gear but their tech dept is , to say the least Poor.
I assume that you did not read my post before pointing Meltman in their direction ?
It’s really good for input but merely signposting somebody to a supplier without reading ( and if disagreeing , saying so) previous posts is really not as helpful as you may have wished.
I am sure that your post was , if simplistic, well intentioned.

    So,
New to this forum and don’t wish to appear In an way confrontational.
I have had a private conversation with“ nobay “and expressed my viewpoint that In the technical section of a forum if, you consider , rightly or wrongly that you have an opinion which agrees or disagrees with a previous poster then you should feel free to post. If however you have not had the interest or time to read previous posts that have dealt in depth with the subject matter but merely post a link to a retailer that has been previously mentioned then this does not , in any way assist forum members in their search for a resolution to their problem. It is a lazy way of using the forum.

You may wish to add a post to the "Introduce Yourselves" section so people can get to know you. Forum decorum innit.

There isn't one. He was being directed to another site but without a link. It doesn't matter as SGS are an excellent company with top quality products and excellent customer service.

By “He” I take it you mean your forumite Meltman. At least he read my post and was grateful. I assume he managed to access the site without me providing a link.... (which I don’t know how to do ).
So far as SGS are concerned, different customers ,different experiences with the same Company. My experience which was detailed on the other forum was written to help others and to avoid them facing the same problems I experienced due to the poor customer and technical advice given to me by SGS.
Anyway many people have thanked me for my input on the question of gas struts which, if I recall correctly was the query raised by Meltman.
On the questioning of my grammar, I have no problem with grammar, typing yes I do have a problem.

As somebody who has been on this forum for only a few days, with an opening conversation that was blatantly rude to another member, you're (note spelling) not making many friends. As a purported member of another forum you probably know it's common courtesy and standard etiquette to introduce yourself in the newbie section. If I were you I'd start again and avoid being rude to others on here. I'm sure you're (!) a nice chap really.
