I acquired 'Betty' with the intention of restoring her to her full glory, but with 3 other VW's to keep on the road I have realised I do not have the time to see this though and so I am offering someone else the chance.

When it arrived it was a non-runner, but since have I decided to sell , I thought I better see if it would run and so I recently fitted a new starter motor, fuel pump, plugs and leads and nicked a coil and battery from my other van and yes it starts, runs and sounds fine, although the fuel tank will need to be fixed or replaced.

The interior is all there, although the orginal wood appears to be covered in fablon. The dash also contains a 'rare' deluxe clock, which does not appear to beg working , but I have not got the time to investigate why at the moment.

Most panels will need work or replacing. There are two cab doors (one in better condition than the other) and a sliding door in good condition included, however these have had the handles removed as they were going to be used as solenoid doors but I was intending to restore these to use as orginals.

Other than the front end, the main chassis runners and x members appear to be OK
The previous owner has pained the entire van with what looks like red oxide, but I think it was orginally mustard yellow, although the V5 states the colour blue.
    I am looking for £1300.

I recommend you view before comitting to buy, we are nr St Ives in Cambs
