It is nice, however - and i'm no expert here, what makes this a Champagne? as far as i know the only Champagnes are the Westy like mine and the microbus version like Madfrankies. The Champagne Edition was a sales campaign that VW did in 1977 and 1978. The 1978 models are referred to as Champagne Edition II. These models included special colours and accessories. The CEII Bus for 1978 was Fox Red and Datenut Brown with 3 colour tape stripes and a two tone (magnolia and Sienna) corduroy interior. There was also a camper version which was Agate brown with Pastel white top. Both Buses had chrome bumpers with rubber strips.
This isn't, (as far as i know) either, especially as it's a 1979 model although i would happily be corrected.
    #justsayin' :D

  3. Yep you're right Rick. That's no Champer wagon though VW USA did do some late similar colour schemes such as this one. Nice bus though.
