  1. Yes LHS battery tray I may well be able to fit it in, just i knew it was a tight fit with the slightly smaller one i have. Will have to see if i can get more discount on top of the current offer with my trade card

  2. I can measure to double check the size tonight if you want, 99% sure it's the same though.

  3. yeah please.

  4. carp didnt look at height!!

  5. Its an odd shaped space... the curve of the wheel well means you can get away with a slightly taller battery if its not so long, or a slightly longer one, if its not so tall.

Could you use a 'gel' battery (ie not liquid filled) and mount it on its side/end...?

    P.

  6. yes Gel would be doable but they are very expensive

plus you would really need to change the starter to a gel as well so they are both the same type of battery for the split charge.

  7. Found a thread on prototype bay with pics from StuF installing a Halfords in into his bus. Might have a trip to Halfords......if i cant fit it in I will just take it back!!

  8. Sounds like a plan, it is the halfords one I have and I think they only do one 115AH so unless the dimensions have changed recently it should all be fine

  9. rickyrooo1

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

i got a really tall one in my wheel well by putting it in backwards so the terminals were outer skin side as they don't touch the wheel well there...... also seen a few that have had a little thump with a hide mallet on the well to get a bigger one in.

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I made a frame to fit a banner 115 in mine, it spans over the edge of the battery tray towards the engine. That left room so i could fit eber in/exhaust behind it and can get at rear lights cover and wiring without removing the battery, which is rather big and heavy.

  11. Well the deed is done. new 115Ah Halfords leisure battery has been purchased. with my trade card it cam in at 71.20!! bargain really. normally 129 on sale for 89 but witrade card always takes it back to full price and then down again so a huge saving!!

just need to fit the behemoth now
