sober for october? anyone?

Good one rick I haven't drank since tekenders and probably won't have one again until around Christmas! The only problem is I have been given a order for a load of my cider for New Years and it will need tasting!

Not had a drink since 22 July 2013!!

 

Obviously a date that's stuck? Any particular reason?
I've had about 10 drinks (a drink being a glass of wine or a beer) since April. I just got bored of it and also after having to stop last Christmas for 2 weeks (anti-biotics) I noticed I was more cheerful and positive generally. Between Christmas and April I experimented. Then I got slotted at Techenders in April and that sealed it for me.

I don't think I was an alcoholic but I was on the spectrum. I didn't drink all the time, but often when I did, I wasn't very good at knowing when to stop.

 

I am away with work at the moment so don't really have a choice

However you look at it you haven't had a drink.

 

there's a difference in not being able and not wanting too, i really am not missing it which is good- i don't think i'm ever going to want to be t-total but it shows i drink through habit more than liking a drink.

 

i can take it or leave it , i only do it socially but im being anti social at the moment .

 

still off it- and with what i've got going on it's a miracle.

I've been doing this in my own fashion and I've not touched a drop of beer throughout October until today.
Today was always going to be my finish day, so I consider it a success.

So much so that I will only be drinking beer once a month from now on.

My poor old beer gut is a shadow of its former self and I have lost at least X pounds.
Obviously I have continued to drink the smallest drop of red wine throughout for purely medicinal purposes.
