  1. Pu adhesive with a decent overlap and flange head pop rivets with washers on the other side.

  2. Well the 6 cable ties have been reduced to just 3

  3. Tonight I got the body bolted to the frame.

It's all squared up a bit better now ready start the chassis

  4. No building progress today, but I did collect a couple more legnths of box section ready for the next stage

Picked up some brakes while I was out and about in the sunshine today for the princely sum of £1

  6. I thought they were headphones / intercoms :)

  7. That'd be cool too

Will you need to slow down or are the brakes just for show?

  9. I'm hoping it's just for stopping at the end.

No one should be slowing down on the way down..... ;)

  10. the rules say the brakes have to function, and in the interest of not getting dead I'd like to have the option of stopping if I want to.

I didn't break at all at Eastnor last year.

disc brakes would be nice to have, but I don't think they are available for bmx wheels and probably wouldn't be within my budget build spending plan.

    Spend so far sits at:

    Plastic barrels: free
    Steering box: free
    6x wheels: free
    Box section: £13.50
    £19.10
    Brakes: £1

    Total: £33.60

  11. I'm undecided if taking the jumps at full pelt is wise

  12. Happy friday logfans.

Tonights logging session has been rear end based, the shocks arrived earlier in the week, some discussions and sone head scratching (on my part) and this is what I've got so far. This is a bit of an experimental phase, so may change later on.

  14. They're mountain bike rear shocks and were about £6 each.

Not entirely sure how it'll all work yet, but we'll get there

  17. There won't be much I can do on it in a field so leaving it behind, I do have a log related job I might tackle though

Picked this up today, looks like I can do some logwork at techenders

  20. Got a little bit more work done tonight.

Hooked up a spare grinder to this stand thing so now cutting the box section nice and squarely is much easier now.

Then I did some cutting, these bits will make both the rear wheel mounts.

Then I got hungry and went home
