The heads are now in for work and rebuild. Money dependant - it could be ready for the Brewery Tour at the end of the month. Sods Law dependant - it could be in pieces for the Brewery Tour at the end the month.

Should have the short block rebuilt this week.

  9. Diddy, sadly the old girl went to a new home this weekend. Twas a sad day but I couldn't keep hiring cars for work so it was a choice, buy a new car or get a T5. Simple choice really.

We made a little profit on her at the end of the day but that wasn't the point. The new owners used to run a bug called Gerty so it was meant to be.

They are just as passionate about them so she went to a good home.

I'll get a 'project' of some sort in the future ;-)

Now, back to Matt's thread. Cool looking stuff mate.

Like Tezzah says, he's gone the cheats route.

I'm not building to give anyone a run for their money (or anything else) just to help her cope with today's roads and a little fun.

The small end bushes have been pressed out and new pressed in - they will be reamed to accept the wrist pins tomorrow. The short block should be complete on Thursday.

  18. Stick a rev counter in and get her on a rolling road like i did. :)

No rev counter planned but already have the rolling road in mind. That's why I was able to recommend that chap to you.

  20. Just a tip, he said he can squeeze more out if he can measure the RPM. I have a meter you can use in the back which measures RPM, you can use that for the day of you want to, it'll do the job.
