Am looking at doing the museum thing with the family and wondered if anyone could recommend a camp site as near as possible to the centre that is within walking of public transport links.

  2. There is a great site here....

Alows camp fires but is a bus ride to the tube.

I have heard good things about the Crystal Palace site but never been there.

Don't forget to check this site out for 2 for 1 offers to certian London attractions. You just need to travel into London by mainline train.

If you want to eat out then it is worth looking here for lunch and dinner deals.

  6. Well now it seems there is a new place to stay in central London. Close to all the attractions of the City Of London, near to the tube and with a great view. You could join the folks at St Paul's. How they would feel about someone rocking up in a bus though, I just don't know!!!

  7. I've stayed at the Abbeywood site with my gf's parents during the summer, in their caravan. It's a really nice site and I couldn't believe how nice it was considering the surrounding area. The overground station is about 5 mins walk and it costs about
