Hi there and welcome, kiss goodbye to any money you now have and any hanging around in the future You'll be poor, slightly madder but definitely happier, good luck with the search
Welcome aboard! To experience what owning an old camper is really all about, its like throwing money to the wind There really is no better way to get started than filling your spare time with a 'restoration project' from ebay, or gumtree. Don't worry about viewing it before the auction end as most good camper owners will happily send you additional photos taken with a 10 year old Nokia. but luckily, campers are all much of a muchness and generally don't suffer from rust, and as you'll probably want to put your own stamp on it, this allows you a greater choice of campers to consider as you can easily overlook minor flaws or cheap repairs it might require. Just to note, when collecting the camper, its probably best not to take friends or family members who might not see it's future potential, they'll only drag you down and cloud your judgement on it's purchase. Also collecting the camper on an (stormy) evening after work is probably the best way not to arouse suspicion before revealing the surprise purchase to family or friends. Good luck with your search!

Hi and welcome. If you find anything and want some extra opinions don't be afraid to ask, we love pointing at other vans and highlighting the deficiencies or merits.
Only to make ourselves feel better about our own Welcome, and good luck with finding what you want! Love the retro pic - glad you mentioned the matching jumpers and trousers! What a shame you can't find a pic with the registration on! You never know - you could end up bringing it back to the family! How cool would that be!
Belated welcome to ya from the Robo's, you have stumbled across what I & others would consider the best if not the only late bay forum containing what has to be said is a massive source of knowledge with experienced diy'ers & professionals a plenty all willing to share their knowledge & opinions on anything you care to ask. Good luck in your quest
Just to update my own intro-thread - my bro' came up trumps with some more info on the tin top from my youth (my avatar pic). It was a cross-over (should have really known that myself from the big lights and curved bumper you can see in the pics). It was "MEA150L" Marino Yellow (although looks orange in the old faded pics) reg'd 1972 so that would date the pic as summer 1973. Unfortunately it look like MEA150L is no longer taxed or sorn'd so i'd guess it's no longer on the road.
I had the same thing mate my dads old camper was non traceable sine 1990 gutted @rickyrooo1 found that out for me it could be in a barn somewhere but I very much doubt it!!
Welcome along. See you are learning already defo a crossover. Flap on petrol too. And square vents with early bumpers. Same as mine. But not your reg. Good luck with the search for a bus. Plenty of advice here.
Your brother hasn't aged much in the second picture or do you have that disorder that makes you age quicker than normal?
