One additional note....buy a couple of 8 x 4 boards ( cheap far eastern ply c. 9mm) and use this for making templates, profiles etc....buy a big plaster board Square, a 1m ruler with spirit level, and a small sliding Tee Square (from machine mart)...you won't regret it

Wow there is some cracking interiors there some real inspiration as to what you can do, I'm going to get started ripping out my interior and starting from scratch. With the best materials I can afford

Croatia is beautiful I did a tour there in split/kupres I also went to Sarajevo some of the most beautiful countryside I have seen!!

Here's mine. Nothing fancy but it works for me. The rear facing bench holds my stove, washbasin, and dishes and other camping stuff. Seat flips forward and seat back comes off to access shelving. The original westy sink unit was too bulky and was in bad shape anyway. Would like to do something like Robo's slide out stove but with room for cooker and small sink. Maybe be able to raise it up and down as well for use inside and out. I have the swivel seat so i don't want to block it. But all that may be a bit ambitious.



New overhead cabinet with speakers and new mexican blanket seat cover. Looking for some matching plaid to finish off but not wanting to pay for the new stuff.

 

That looks brilliant @junichi I love the buddy seat did you make that yourself I don't suppose you have any plans for it do you??
I have got my hands on a Westy interior all be it an prototype bay interior and I got a small locker of e bay with gas stove built in to go behind the driver,s seat.

 

Thanks. No plans but i just cut a cardboard template first to get it to fit against the partition. It's not much more than 2 side pieces and some shelves between. Used L-brackets on the inside to assemble so no nails or screws showing...

 

@PIE I'd be interested to see your hinge arrangement for the doors on your kitchen unit. Very nice build by the way

Some great interiors.
Top tip - use good materials - why? Because once you appreciate just how much work is involved you won't want to do it again and you'll wish you had!
Top tip 2 - cover the bare ends of ply with something - anything - it'll look a million times better. Oak strips, plastic or ali trim - anything.

One of the best interiors (in my oppinion) is the Devon Moonraker. Its so good that its copied by CamperShak - http://www.thecampershak.co.uk/gallery.php

Anyway, I built the interior for myself using 12mm ash faced MDF. Made some slight tweeks but its a pretty much exact replica of a Moonraker. Check out the video to see the results:



Total material used:

2.5 of 8X4 boards (and a bit of old conti board I had to add strength) TOP TIP: Find a supplier and ask if he has any damaged boards on one side they might give you the board for super cheap.
Pack of chock connecter blocks
2 packs triangular supports
20 pack of nickel plated hinges
Door handles
4 X 12v lights (2 strips and 2 led)
Real ash wood edging (iron on)

Cost about £150 including fixtures and a new cooker and various electrical bits (fuse box etc)

If you have the woodworking skills and the time its quite a nice job and makes an instant impact.

I have a mate who swears by the Devon Moonracker he had it in his first bay and he says it was the best interior he has had. I have managed to get my hands on an early Westy interior but its not really suiting our needs its only the rear wardrobe the overhead locker and the 3/4 bed. I think i will roll with it this year then sell the interior and make my own hopefully i should make enough from the Westy to cover my new interior,s materials.

 

I'm quite tempted to have a go at a Devon DIY build now!
