This morning view! Might need some snow chains for my mountain bike!

 

So much snow tourists are ordered to stay in hotels.
No electricity. So no hotel internet. But 4G phone, a bag of snacks and we still have tap water.
We had a candle lit continental breakfast without hot water..
No trains anywhere up or down mountain ( to the rest of the world) until maybe 1600.

About 50cm snow in the village since about 1800 yesterday .

Just as well I bought a monster phone recharger power pack in a hurry in St Moritz for what seemed at the time a lot of money, it keeps the phones going.

No trains today. Snowing again .. booked into Interlaken tomorrow night..

We found a bar cooking on alcohol from their fondue sets so they could serve hot drinks and soup.

 

I suspect Vegan Men With Beards are involved...

 

Today's bug is a Hairy Shieldbug sitting on a Peony bud.

 

Is this the second language in your neck of the woods? Or just maybe it's young people speak and I'm out of touch.

Saw this beauty this afternoon..

 

Yep, been a week of cycling for me and walking for the mrs and swimming with the nipper.

The forecast was changeable before we came so I bought the snow board and the bike. Despite having a 1m dump overnight they closed the lifts - presumably they couldn’t assure safety with that much snow over the hardpack base.

Not sure what tomorrow holds!

Also worked out that Gourmande means greedy when ordering this desert!!
