    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

    I would not cycle on the road nowadays, there are too many drivers now who were bought up with with no real need to consider cyclists. Cycling went out of fashion for a time and I reckon drivers enjoyed haring about without having to worry about them. Now they don't want to concede that ground. Poor chap on the marina bought a bike to get fit, got 2 miles on his first ride before being killed by a lorry.

    That’s pretty sad. I can’t argue at all, that was my first venture onto the main road since I got it, I’ve been sticking to the canal towpath until today, then I decided a round route down to the river back into Stourport along the river and then the towpath home. Mistake!

    These will hopefully become a new hedge at the front of the house

    I don’t know I’m determined to carry on cycling, I have to be sensible about it and I was trying, I don’t want to be put off completely from using roads I guess I just have to sharpen up a bit and get road savvy PDQ. In the meantime I’m sticking to the cut!
