I've been working my way through some of the videos on Nutjob's Youtube channel, and just watched their video from Slough Swapmeet 2021.

I could be mistaken but this looks decidedly like @Lasty tinkering away on @CollyP's van in the car park?!

Followed in @Chrisd footsteps and went for a wander around the NEC with my brother. Haven’t done this type of non-VW show before, so it felt a bit strange not knowing the minute year by year variations on the models on show!!

Still, a nice walk! And I almost literally bumped into Mike Brewer and Ant Anstead on different occasions cos I wasn’t looking where I was going!





Might be the first time I’ve seen a Vauxhall Victor since my dad scrapped his in ‘84 / ‘85!



The Mk1 GTi is still and itch I want to scratch. I had a special edition Mk1 GX for a few years before 5 door cars became cool.





Nice to see it wasn’t all pipe and slippers and authentic restos



Dominic Chinea’s off of The Repair Shop had his 356 on show. I’ve been following his (well, his mate John’s) progress with this on YouTube which is a nice way of whiling away 1/2 hour each week



The estimate price on this was nearly affordable but it was absolutely ruined!! Would need a lot of work to make it a good car and doesn’t even have nice patina potential! Looked like someone had painted it in silver hammerite!

 

I have to say it knocks to spots of Volksworld. OK very few VWs but huge show, loads to see.
