Highlight for me, apart from the talking Marmitee bit, was the lovely sound of the Lowthers on the open baffle speakers using the SET amp playing vinyl thru the valve phono. The sound was, in many ways, so wrong, but so unmistakably single ended triode, and yet...so perfect...in it's own way (with the right type of moosic). Eva Cassidy was sublime on that setup.

 

Was there a slight hint of resonance at 2.3kHz?

 

Is that a trick question? It was a SET, they were Lowther drivers, there was Eva Cassidy's voice at the perfect pitch to set off even a Benz Glider cartridge resonating.

Of course, there was resonances! Was it at 2.3k, heaven knows, but it was still sublime!

It was like music but delivered intravenously instead of by ear

Try making a seat for a small person!
Trying different methods along the way, dictated by lid sizes and tools available.
It could yet go horribly wrong

I planted them in a manure mix..
1st time, this year

then feed when the second group of Tom's has set..

Will be feeding them double dose now the plants are 6ft high..
