I think Just Kampers do an Octopus Hood mounting kit

 

Adhesive foam trim tape or a bit of tiger seal should stick that on
Make sure you use a solvent on the panel and octopus to remove any grease/oil or wax first.

It looks

 

+1 for foam tape, if you can get the stuff they use to fix number plates on with, it sticks like wotsit to an army blanket

Is it silly to be excited about getting a new iThing? In this case a new iPod touch.

I'm not normally an Apple fanboy, but when it comes to mobile (off grid) music it's hard to beat, despite having to use iTunes! I really don't want to be loading music onto my already-full phone. Having tried a cheapo Chinese mp3 player from the Lucky Red Star Flaky Gadgets And Very Long List Of Tracks company, it's lovely to have something that just works.

I now have the entire Norris ripped CD collection of around 6000 tracks, all on one device, that I can bluetooth to the car radio and home speakers

 

If ever you think a gravel drive would be better than tarmac, well.....£439 later, a 16 tonne grabber leaves another 8 tonnes behind when his max load weight alarm goes off.......

An hour later and the 8 tonnes has been barrowed around the back of the house just in time for 8 tonnes of type 1 sub-base to arrive. 2 hours later its clear another 2 tonne is required.

The cost of waste removal and building materials has exploded here.
