Get that sort of thing with meristem damage, they have the potential to be any type of cell, so with disruption they can go completely rogue. All it probably was was an aphid that caused this.

Dug out the out footings for a 1930s gatepost in the drive, but haven't filled the pothole in yet. Surprising how many visiting vehicles it catches.

Managed to trap a UPS van this morning I usually taunt them, then release them back into the wild...

Sure is. Phipps-NBC was an old brewery in Northampton that closed in the early 70's and was knocked down to be replaced by Carlsberg. A few years ago someone bought the rights to the name and started brewing again using a lot of the old recipes and the gin is made in the same premises. Saxby's cider is also made in the county and comes in a range of flavours as well as traditional apple cider. Unlike the usual fruit cider in the supermarkets it's not over sweet, we bought a case with 4 each of rhubarb, plum, strawberry and blackcurrant.

 

What an excellent move to restart the Brewery ....Replaced by carlsberg oh dear .
I would like to try there apple cider ...not over keen on fruit ciders , but if that's what the punters want , then they are fools not to supply it .
I am the same with cheese not keen on apricot chunks in cheese and the like .
Will look into online orders .
