    It's worth mentioning that that is an MOT failure and would dig you a hole if you are roadside smoke tested.

    It most likely does if it is post 1999(ish) .

    It is frowned upon to blank them off by the authorities but the guy who fitted my new engine said it was the best thing to do to stop the engine cloggin up, and other mechanics have said the same.
