  6. Your pictures are making me wet with envy. The chippy at Penrith is one of my top 10,. When I get my westy roof this will change things drastically, as I won't have to sleep in a Bivvy bag next to my van, in the outback. I'm getting old ,see.
Thanks for the pics, is that Helvelyn?

  9. Oh yeah, loving it by the way! Picked the youngest up from school in her today, none of the kids were looking at the '66 plate Audis and Mercs thatwere lined up, but my boy got a load of envious stares as we hopped in the van and opened the Dells up :cool:

  10. Love ours
My son who is 10 today
Helped me (in his own way)
Fit it out and it's part of our family now, yes it's broken down a few times when we first bought it but after a little TLC runs like a dream
We went to the lakes last year and Pembrokeshire this year and had a fantastic time. It's not fast (original 1600engine) but it's the journey not the destination sometimes. Use it as a daily driver when I can which is usually when I do the school run with my son and for work. Love driving it

On 6th April 2017, I retire. WE MUST get some weekends away together next year as I really want to use the van as it was intended to be used. I may have an 11yr old and 15yr old, but I want to tour for once. 14yrs of ownership and I intend to make use of the money pit for once. So Dave, you, Jackie, the family and I, have got to get away for a good long break, drinking ale and talking Marmitee (perhaps not the kids drinking though).

  13. We're up for that, the fair wife is looking forward to imminent redundancy as well, so although money may be short we can get away any time.

  14. not 100% sure, need to get my bearings. usually stay at a site right behind Helvelyn.

  15. You need to get out in it more mate
