Self centered, self important, arrogant horading T***S

  1. Don't think I need to say any more really but I will.

We've all got our stories to tell about our experiences of these people and some of them have justified it to themselves I guess. Some folk are doing it cos their worried that they might be last in the queue and some just match the above description.

Another breed of people, who probably have the pantry stuffed to the gunnels, seem to think its appropriate to have a go at people just doing their normal weekly shop.

There's the outright aggression, whether that's verbal, pushing, barging or worse........ just to get the liquid soap that being put onto the shelves by a very harassed and stressed looking shop assistant.

I'm deeply disappointed that such a significant number of people in our society are so self centred and lack any measure of empathy. Likely we will all buy just that bit extra, particularly those who are at risk due to significant health concerns (not that they once had a bad ingrowing toe nail) as they will need to go into lockdown first it seems and t makes sense but that's not what's happening.

As far as I'm aware there aren't actually any shortages of anything except common decency, empathy and just generally being a responsible member of society.

  3. Who's going to be first to smugly justify their "Im alright Jack" approach to this then. C'mon - you know who you are!

Michelle wanted to book a Tesco delivery slot for basic food, not hoarding by any means, the nearest slot for us was in nine days time.

Click & Collect from Alfreton, late Friday afternoon.

We saw a woman in Morrisons last weekend, she had 18 off 1 litre bottles of mineral water. Greed.

  5. I’m NOT alright! We do our shop weekly and have been doing since this started. By Saturday we will run out of essentials as the shelves have been obliterated by the time we get there.... there’s actually nothing that I want left! I will have to feed mine some over processed rubbish or worse still some vegan Marmitee.... it’s just not on!

I've had to raid the camper van for spare loo roll! :(

We've not been panic buying at all, but it is a worry that we do need some staples and there are difficult to find because of the idiots. It's even getting difficult to book a delivery slot, just for the half of the order they've actually got in stock.

  10. Well said that man

We tend to just buy every food every couple of days, whatever we feel like at the time really. Goes without saying really but this hoarding malarkey is just selfish ars****les looking after number one to the detriment of reasonable people , I've noticed all the cheapo stuff is getting battered but there's alus plenty of fruit and veg available - speaks volumes....

  14. But you CAN catch it off the shop bought plastic bottle that a myriad of people have handled prior to it reaching the shelf.... pure ignorance!

There is the other side to the coin where we’re seeing kindness and selflessness more. Saw little old lady in Tesco just now take a couple of the tins of whatever it was she just bought and put them in the food bank donation bin. She hasn’t bought much from what I could see but she was still mindful of those with even less.

We’ve got a bit extra in, not tons, just what would have been a big shop. I may have to stay at home but also so we have some to give my dad and Sarah’s mum if needed.

I don’t believe anyone mass buying have shops/restaurants etc as they would be buying from wholesalers.

I own my own supermarket, I’m sat at the glass doors surrounded by a bog roll castle , similar in style to the one originally at tintagel, I’ve added some Tudor details as I like oak beams, the shutters are down , I can manage until 2097, Tuesday the 7th at 4 .22 my supplies will start to run out, I’m worried, I’m cultivating some trees using my own poop as compost, I will cut these down to refine into extra bog roll , ***** Um :D , I’m alright jack
