He hasn’t updated his site in years I think. You can get a throttle body reverser for phase I & II engines. I’m not sure how they are different though.
Yep it can become quite an expensive conversion, however if you do it piecemeal and get the engine loom, mount and rad in place it is manageable
I know iv said it before, but it really isn't that expensive if you do it yourself. You can use the donor cars rad, make your own engine mount bar, exhaust, loom, cooling pipes etc.. it's just time really. The only bits you really need to buy are the bellhousing kit and TBR, and a few sundries like hoses etc.
Weighing it up against building a reasonably specked aircooled motor with twin carbs etc, for a diy conversion there’s not much in it.
And I didn’t even buy new carbs, though the cost of having current carb rolling roaded soon adds up as well.
So here’s the water pipes. I’m going to have to redo a section as I’m not happy with it. This is the bit I’m not happy with
Redid the water pipe Fitted the fuel return, which was a pain in the rear, as had to remove firewall which meant dismantling the reverse manifold then it was a complete pain in the rear! Hopefully that job is done as I don’t want to revisit this! Old type 4 engine has gone/sold picked up Sunday by a really nice chap so I have a bit more space in the garage now. I really need to crack on with this.
