Im after a Beach cruiser type bike, with the sprung forks, not the Chopper style, condition unimportant really WHY?
i have one but im buggered if im letting him near it, i saw the smoke coming out of @Top Banana Racing mower
Nice work! More info please... I take it you've not ridden it yet...Some brakes might not be a bad idea.
The engine is one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-50c...871952?hash=item2ca6cad610:g:P3cAAOSw2s1UyLUv Ive had it about a year but had put it in the first available bike (old MTB), i decided i would like to make something a bit nicer so bought a Schwinn and some sprung forks off ebay. It actually has a rear brake, one of the pedal back type, as i can only legally thrash round the field on it im hoping its enough, otherwise i might stick a disc set up on the front.
Crikey, they're cheap enough. Shame I've got nowhere to ride one... looks a fun build. Maybe I'll build one anyway. How does the sprocket attach to the rear wheel, out of interest?
My thoughts when i first spotted them A rubber segment either side of the spokes, sprocket on the outside, 3 semi circular sections on the inside, Dozen bolts, do up evenly Seems to act as a cush drive as opposed to ripping the spokes off
My minds buzzing with the possibilities. I wonder if you could fit one on a Raleigh Twenty / Dawes Kingpin.
They are made to fit in the V and they come with an adaptor for bigger tubes, but as with mine you can wedge them in most things, there is a new posher version as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bicycle-C...927531?hash=item2810d2932b:g:2AcAAOSwJb9Wq529
Cool. Or a cheaper, bigger version: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/80CC-2-ST...110038?hash=item33af2a3156:g:MIMAAOSwJkJWhMeW
These are pretty cool: http://www.outsideconnection.com/gallant/hpv/mred/ http://www.outsideconnection.com/gallant/hpv/mgreen/ I wonder how hard it would be to make one road legal.
