  1. The aircraft of the future

  2. Contra rotating props, seems like a good idea, until you explore the engineering to make it happen

  3. Fond memories of flying in these old crates, no tv screens that dont work in these. herc.jpg chip.jpg Argosy-3.jpg vc10.jpg

I once flew on a Delta Airlines 747, probably about 40 or 50 passengers back in the 1990s.
Even then it was a timewarp back into orange and brown decor.

And I have been on a few flights on Emirates A380s to Singapore or Australia. Most interesting thing was the confused Aussie who thought he had the same seat allocation from Singapore to Dubai as he had from Perth to Singapore, which was where I got on to go home.. Fortunately he had family with him to explain..

  5. Aussies.....

  6. Main prob is they can’t fill all the seats to make it viable, and have even started scrapping them!
Pretty sure there was a mod to strengthen lower wing spar (inside fuel tank) due to fatigue cracks, the sheety connys earned tons of dough doing them .

Look on the bright side, there is an SST waiting in the wings... with an experimental aircraft rolled out a few days ago with the SST a few years away..

    That sounds plausible.

If it cracks, make it bigger
