7 hours to fit a towbar! got to work at 9.45 packed tools away and washed hands 4.45...... what a pig of a job no wonder the towbar place i rang said they were one of the few cars they wouldn't do...... wings and bumper had to come off and there are a lot of bolts holding them on trust me! i took pictures and i'm gonna do a write up on the beetle forum to help others but man i wouldn't want to do another.

i'm serious too mate it was a pig job for sure but i'm one of them guys who will take most bits to pieces and enjoy it once it's done, that said you seriously would not belive how many bolts hold them arches and bumper on, it must take the mexicans hours to put them together.

 

just wired electrics and put bumper guard on, job done.

We don't fit Beetle bars at work as they take way too long! Too many bits to take off. Also, what is the name of the fuel app higher up the page?

 

fuel app called road trip lite, the towbar place i rang said the same as you, i like a challenge.... he said 12 hours i did it in 7
