Replacement seat covers and head liner

  1. Hey

Are there any recommend companies to buy a pair of replacement front seat covers from ?

Also whats the deal with replacing the head liner ? I currently have the rear 3/4 of the van wood and the front is material.

Whats the norm for a late bay?
    Cheers

  2. Theres no normal when it comes to late bays dude

  3. TMI are good quality for stock reproduction.
Db car trim also for custom stockish covers are good.

  4. I took my headlining out carefully and then took it to my trimmers

They told me how much material I need and ordered it direct from Martrim Ltd – they delivered it directly to the trimmers.

He made me up the front and back for £80.00 – I think the material was £10m2 for VW perforated stuff -– but mine has the pop up so not a lot of stuff required.

Did the same with the seats – he charged me £150 each – got the vinyl from Martrim as well and that was £10m2 – but he says it is good stuff – seats are 2 tone with fluted centres.

In fact he has done the headliner – seats all new door cards 10 no – 2 tone with flutes (Inc the new ply backs) and all the trimming (apart from the rear seats they are part of the interior kit from RVtec) for £670.00 plus vat – and the total cost of the material was £302.40.

  5. We ordered a full width sunroof version from Custom & Commercial. Took them ages to get it from America but was well worth it and we weren't in a rush. Majorhangover then fitted it himself, somehow!! Our Westy just has wood for headliner front and back.

We bought some seat covers from ebay to cover our original seats but now we have Porsche seats which luckily don't need it.

Like Paradox said, all lates bays are different

  6. DB car trim. top bloke to deal with and will do pretty much any colour combo you want

  7. I checked my head liner today and it seems to be compressed card

What do you do for a lining or sound proofing ? is it worth doing the roof?

  8. the cab head liner in my bay came from retro retrims and i fitted it my self
