Just snapped my wheel brace and wrecked my ratchet handle from socket set trying to remove wheel nuts. Any bright ideas for removing 4 wheel nuts with no tools left that fit?

  12. No thought not.
Went to halfords to buy a tool. First i wIait 10 mins for a muppet. he finds me a cross shaped wheel brace, no thanks, just snapped one. Then he offers the telescopic jobby, no thanks, looks like it'll snap. Let's have that 24 in breaker, last one in cupboard.
He hands it to me and I notice it shaped like a banana. Is it meant to be like that?
    Like what?
    Bent?
    Its not bent.
    Yes it is.
Hang on I'll ask my colleague.

  16. Did you ask for a breaker bar "that is laaak totally sick, innit"? Only way you communicate with Halfords staff, I've found.

  17. You could try a 19,m socket o and maybe some easing oil
And then use a torque wrench to tighten them up when you refit check your manual for the right torque

  18. That or try grunting at them next time

    Not to worry.
The day was a flop, so came out to get alcohol and Chinese and visit the polish car wash.,
