Remove old buddy seat from metal frame

Hi I’m trying to remove the buddy seat from its base but underneath I cannot work out how it’s attached to the cushion as there are no screws in the underneath holes.

Here’s what I can see

 

It’s possible it was attached to the frame before the fabric was upholstered on.

I’d shine a torch through those holes just to make sure a tiny screw hasn’t been fed through from the bottom. Perhaps get something thin that you could slide between the frame and board to see if it hits any screws.

What are you doing to it?

im trying to restore the metal frame and re paint as all the paint is coming off and has gone back to metal

 

Looks like you'll have to unpick the staples and staple it back on after.
