FOR SALE REDUCED to £13,750 - 2003 Danbury 1.6 Air Cooled Brazilian camper

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by Purple, Oct 1, 2019.

  1. This is a lovely 2 berth weekender camper with five seats that also doubles as a useful van - the cooking and sink pods are easily removable to create a large carrying space. Benefits from modern Bosch fuel injection, electronic ignition and an ECU engine management system with an on board code diagnostics and clearing port

The camper is a Danbury factory 'tin-top'conversion ordered by the previous owner to include:

Full respray by Danbury in Seat Negro Inferi (dark purple metallic)

    Anti corrosion underbody protection

Winter pack (heated front and rear windscreens and Webasto cab heater)

Chrome pack (Bumpers, front grille, headlamp rims, VW badges and mirrors)

Separate cooking and sink pods with storage

Full width rock-n-roll bed with three seat belts, two inertia and one lap belt

15 inch Empi style alloys, (including the spare wheel)

Tinted privacy glass and black-out curtains

    Factory Immobiliser

    1 previous owner from new

    25,600 miles (41,200km), MOT until October 2020

Comes with a mass of history, bills etc and the original Danbury Owners manual, service book, order form and both original keys.

Also comes with a new 180cm x 280cm UV weather proof awning/sun canopy, a huge Just Kampers awning tent and a winter cover. All are in as new condition.

I've owned it since November 2016, during which time the interior has been fully lined in artic silver carpet and a new Sony Bluetooth unit has also been installed.

I've also had some minor bodywork and paint attended to:

The front wheel carrier was loose and had scuffed the front panel, so I had it removed and the front panel re-finished.

The off-side wheel arch panel in front of the battery tray has been repaired and refinished and some scratched paintwork around the camper has also been refinished.

Photos of all the work done are available.

Since the photos were taken in the autumn the original amber indicator lenses and light clusters have been refitted.

I work from home so happy for inspections anytime during the week. This camper is in very good condition and probably the cheapest late Brazilian Danbury currently advertised, no silly offers please.

    Morning @Purple :)

How come you’re selling? Was it Techenders that put you off campers?!! :)

It looked very tidy, I kept meaning to have a shufti inside but kept getting distracted

  17. Cheers,

I'm assuming it's the lockdown effect, but hopefully the summer staycation appeal will kick in soon.

  18. Your new one is also a Brazilian? I'm a bit confused by the weird late bay front panel, and the early '71 reg.
  19. It has a private plate on it from the previous owner. It's a 2010 water cooled panel van - the radiator is behind the dummy spare wheel cover.
