Rear anti roll bar

  1. Hi everyone,

I’ve bought an empi anti roll bar kit for my bus.

I’ve been reading through a lot of posts with mixed reviews on them.

The main issue i can see with my bus is it’s been lowered.
Does anyone have any info on how high off the floor they can be so it’s not going to rip off over a speed bump or anything else?

They hang about 2½" below the gearbox but mine has never touched going over speed bumps. Don’t fit a rear one unless you have at least a standard ARB on the front.

  3. mines lowered too. the rear bar hangs down as geoff says, but it's never been a problem. I think they have a single design that works with different years/ gearboxes so on a manual late bay its hanging down more than it needs. i looked at getting a custom bar made up that would fit the bay better but i can't really justify the cost (was about 300 quid iirc).

  4. I’ve fitted the front ARB and it made a massive difference to the drive.
I was hoping the rear one would do the same.

These 2 comments have made me feel a lot more confident that it’s a good idea to put it on.

    thanks
