Just had a eye test and was told I need reading glasses. Other than that my eyesight is very good. I asked the optician for a prescription as I think reading glasses needn't cost the earth and asked her for a PD measurement so as I can order online ( someone told me I need that ) anyway. I now have my prescription and PD and am looking online for a good deal. Does anyone have experience of buying glasses online, any preferred company or any tips etc please?

Not seen them in Sainsbury, but they used to sell them packaged in Tesco. I bought a nice pair encrusted with fake diamonds when I couldn't see what I was buying. :(

Just got a pair for £3 from that Swedish 'Tiger' shop (it's like a cross between Poundland and Ikea if you've not been in one.) They're quite nice.
I've got loads of pairs kicking around in the van, the car, work, the bathroom, my truck... I'm not yet in the habit of carrying them with me, so it's easier to have a lot of cheap pairs everywhere I might need them!

Got some of those. The optician had a look, but said I should try getting some internet ones from a proper place if I wasn't buying from their shop ( Specsave ) as they are better for your eyes!

The £1 ones seem okay tbh, but as I say, the optician recommended proper glasses.

Don't go to Specsavers or you'll end up with hearing aids. I did but still buy my reading glasses from a chemist.

Lou bought her glasses off them last week and it has taken an age to get them. That's why I cba to get them from there. I didn't mind having the eye test there as it was free because of glaucoma in the family

Okay then I'm on 2.5 now and have about four pairs strategically placed in situ.
The expensive ones don't last any longer than the cheap ones if you sit on them.
