  1. Maybe it's the stop for the sliding door (at the back of the bottom runner)?

Just a quickie. Here's the dash pod I made over a year ago. Flattened and first coat of low sheen black.

Cover is off. Had so much rain it was trapping water and I thought it might as well just run off rather than be sandwiched between the cover and the van.

Got throttle issues. Here's a video. When I flick the throttle it doesn't settle back to idle right away as it should, it lingers and slowly drops back to idle. Couple of times it hasn't settled back too. Not sure what to do. I have set the idle speed to a level just above cuts out point.

  14. That's idling a bit fast, isn't it?

yeah, it is a little, i set it there so that it stopped cutting out enough for me to video it. Somethings not right. I don't want to have to pull the carb apart if i can avoid it because thats a can of worms, and the haynes is confusing me. Been looking at the club8090 wiki and theres loads of info but nothing that is the same as the problem i have.

Basically, i took it for its first drive today, just round the block, and it was cutting out when i had the clutch down to change gear, the clutch was down for about 5 seconds as i am also having trouble selecting gears, which is another question for later.

  16. Air leak maybe

like gasket based air leak? maybe i do need to take the carb off then.

  18. A slight leak on the inlet side will cause it to stuggle or cut out at idle
Spray some wd40 around the gaskets and if the rpm rises you have found your leak
