Replaced this bit too Filled this bit Smoothed the gutter lips Removed the drivers side pod Pod quite pitted but should be reusable That's now been rust treated and zinc galvanized on the inside,
Its been another huge chunk of time since I updated here, again I have been told that house work takes priority over bus work. But now the weather has turned and is crap outside, I have been released to play bus Found a roof cut on eBay to get me around my windscreen problems Took a while to separate but got there in the end, also blasted to see if it was worth putting in Had a go at the rear nasty corner, been here once before when I first got the bus, decided I should re-do it propperley
As the back end of the bus was already cut out before I took ownership, something to do with a torque converter being bigger than a clutch??? I dunnow Anyways, if that's the case might as well make the rear bolt in Said panel that I made last year One of these either side with a locating pin to take some springy tension off of the bolts I'll be sorting the rusty crap behind when the engine is next out, not enough room to play at the mo And now its nearly looking like a vw bus again
Its been a bit of a busy time lately at home, not had much play time with uggy but with this little dude instead Introducing Louis our new addition to the family and future rust fan. I have got a few bits done and collected a few more Picked this up on eBay a few months back Had a go at the roof corner Replaced a few sections of I beam And started to fix the floor Just doing little bits where I can
Its from a company called rucomfy, wide range of colours and you get to choose the plate http://www.rucomfybeanbags.co.uk/luxury-cuddle-soft-iconic-campervan-baby-bean-bags-filled.html
Managed to grab another hour or so this morning, Got my panels welded in and made a start on the last bit in the corner I also stumbled across this on instagram, might be helpful for someone
Yes I need make the ply floor for mine - does anyone know if this has to made in 2 sections or can it be a single piece ?
You may be able get one sheet in through the tailgate, or even the sliding door. Jobs like that are still a bit down the line for me yet
Floor is repaired The other offending roof corner has also been attacked How the front was looking Got busy with the knot wheel in the grinder and coated it in jenolite And then bonda primer
This turned up as I was stripping it back to metal too Its been a while but its slowly getting back on track
Good luck pal,i was there not that long ago, granted i was lucky enough to have a good chassis etc to start with but i still had plenty of rusty panels to do
Still slowly making progress, but the house has taken priority again this year I have got a few bits sorted though Flaps
Also had a mini resto to do Tri-ang Veteran (renault) This took nearly a year to get done. Uggy has a long road ahead lol
