    Cheers mate!
    1. Standard mech fuel pump (assuming I end up using one of the two engines I have). I might try and bench test the 1200 that's sat in the garage to see if I could use that while I look at rebuilding the 1600 at a later point.
    2. Courtesy light - As you say, not much of an engine bay on a baja, however a reversing light and rear fog lamp might be a good shout!
    3. Heated rear screen - Feels a bit too much like luxury for a baja! Could always leave a spare cable in the loom though if I wanted one in the future.

  2. various usb sockets?

One in the glovebox would be a good idea.

I could have the world's only Baja bug with a Westy crumpet toaster in it! Cook your breakfast while driving through a river. perfect.

    What’s not to like! :D

  7. These door cards look amazing! We need to do ours in the van over winter. Is there a decent thread on how to go about it? You've got a really professional look there!!

    Thanks mate!
Carl did a good thread on making your own door cards a little while back: https://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/carls-how-to-door-cards.40824/
I taught myself via some online courses I bought and a handful of books.
Alternatively if you don't fancy doing it yourself feel free to drop me a message about making some up for you.
These are the ones I made for the bus:

So 90's man... you can get the same effect with low wattage LEDs now a days! With the added benefit of colour changing sequences....

Lots of fiddly little repairs needed on the drivers front arch with fresh metal going in along the seal channel, along the A pillar seam and replacement of two fender captive nuts.

Removing the remnants of the seal channel that the previous owner had just fillered over. The metal under is pretty solid but needs a few patches grafting in.

I’ve also started digging into the rear gutter which always rust out on these. This should be a fun bit to fabricate!

The other side is even more "fun" than this!

@Valveandy, here's that fun I was talking about!
Went digging into the N/S rear guttering. Ended up cutting a big chunk of the roof off to get access to the inside framework which had started to rust out. First job will be to make up a repair for the pillar.

I’ve been furloughed from work for the next 4 weeks so time to get a jog on with this project! Hopefully I can get the rest of the welding finished and onto some of the baja conversion jobs.

I’ve made the repair pillar ready to weld in (the rusty mess on the right is all I had to go from!).

A few repairs to the rear quarter before I can weld in the pillar and start making up some guttering.

It’s always nice when something turns up that you’re not expecting! I only ordered the front and rear tube bumpers on Monday expecting them to take weeks to get here as they were on back order. Here they are!

Further work on this corner repair.

One more patch repair on the quarter panel and I’ve welded in the pillar repair.

I should be able to get the gutter repair welded in tomorrow and the rest of the inner framework sorted.
