PMS3H System help?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Ste-h, Aug 13, 2020.

  1. Hello

So I may have made a schoolboy error, I purchased Sheldon (T2 1976) yesterday, and was pretty good and In my excitement remembered to ask most/well some at least, of the important questions, how ever he is fitted with a PMS3H system, all the paper work from the fitting was given to me and all looked good, but I didn’t get the seller to show me it working, as it looked simple ( I know stupid)

As a total novice I have watched the videos on line but can’t seem to get any life out of it (images) below.
    So 2 questions

1 does any one have this system and any tips?
2 can anyone recommend a good garage/service place in south east UK (Kent/Maidstone area) that I can use?

    thanks in advance..............

  3. Thanks, it’s also connected to what I believe to be the additional ‘leisure’ battery so I assumed it would also work with out the hook up being plugged in?

Welcome to the Late Bay !

It looks like somebody has been reasonably diligent with replacing all the fuel hoses.
All the same, need to check them for cracking.

And strangely the electrical leisure battery wiring going up to the control panel looks fairly neat, but the wires to the leisure battery in the engine bay look a bit small , are not well fixed, and dont have fuses at the battery end. This could get exciting if the insulation gets damaged. That seems to be an issue with wires from both batteries - the fuses in the lower cupboard look like they are intended for battery circuit fuses but they are at the wrong ends of the wires ...

I think it should be possible to connect some of the leisure 12 volt outputs to either battery when you are not on hook up, using the switches on the panel. If not, check the fuses, check the connections.
