Places to watch Sunrise in the North West.

  1. Can anyone recommend any places to watch the sunrise in the North West. My little fella has us up early most weekends so be nice to make the most of it.

  2. We love to watch it from our front window. We live in N Manchester and our house faces east/ west. The sun rises over Blackstone Edge / Dovestones area and looks amazing. Have the same issue as Oren wakes up at 6am every day. He loves to watch the sun rise.

Where exactly in the north west are you? It's a big region.

  4. We live in clifton north Manchester. but basically you need somewhere east facing. with a wide open panorama of the east. The Manchester basin is good because if you live on the western or northern edge you get a great vista of the Pennine horizon to the east.

  6. we can only watch sunsets due to trees at the front of the house, from the back we can see the clwydian hill range in nth Wales, but there are some great places to view sunrise in nth wales

  7. The best thing about the sunrise in the NW is that you are looking at Yorkhire:beer:
