Sorry to hear this Pinkarmy. I have been watching your progress and hoping you would see it through with the help of your dad. At least you have better taste than him. ;)

Good luck with the sale.

  3. Yeh all together cost me 9k for half a van. Im Selling at 7.5k ono including everything i have to finish it i have a nice interior and a engine and Every part needed 3k worth to weld the drivers side and front panel hopefully someone who can weld will see the potential in it because they can enjoy it and make the profit. I still want a van i dont want the stress and work this wasnt the plan im a physio not a mechanic lol i just want to enjoy it. :(
the mechanics i asked them to look over it completely, but still kept coming back with more work needed hence the long list of parts i now have for it...

  4. 4 for the van, 3 on parts roof and interior, 2200 for that work, quotes another 2-3 for the rest of the welding, plus then the filler and paint work, and then we could have done the rest ourselves :( just can't afford it and got no where to put it

  5. Alot of vans out there that need welding, but still look pretty with their paint, going for 6-8k
This is an ugly bus at the mo but it comes with Every new panel you could possibly need its a full bus if you can put it together. Engine, interior, roof. Its the most honest advert as i know what its like to be ripped off. And adding up the parts and the work and Whats there in the engine roof etc thays how ive come to that price but im open to offers

Glad you haven't been done over. As will be said over and over until you're fed up with hearing it, in it's present state you market is very limited. Most people who want to do a home resto do it to spread cost among other things, so your price, although probably very good in reality, might cause a problem because you're not in the rose-tinted specs price band. As you say, painted and all in one piece commands a premium where all in pieces with e.g. your word that the engine is good (not that I doubt it, but you can't prove it) is a gamble to a degree.

AHHHH that clarifies a few things ... wasnt to bad at all in that case... In fact I think your being premature getting rid.. negotiate a fixed price for the other side and have them do it.. Looks like they did a smashing job for the labour charge @£2500.. Its good work so you could run it in bonda primer displaying the repairs to show they are well done .. even as an advert for the repairer... run it for a year so people can see the quality of work with the garage detail and flyers and convince then its good for buisness , flutter your eyelashes and butter them up .. negotiate the other side for free in exchange for advertising .... I thought you were 9k to the repairer already...

DIG IN stick with it and see it through, its the only way you will have any chance of seeing the bulk of your investment back...

I cant see you getting anywhere close to your asking price.. I had a bare metaled original RHD van on here for £5k solid as a rock, original front and rear arches sills the works, just no paint... so you could actually see there were no repairs and the van was solid unwelded original ...... not one single bite, nothing... nada... you might, just might get your asking price if All the welding was complete. Its a gamble... but if you couldnt sell it, its a whole lot closer to completion for your own use...
