Pick up my First Bay tomorrow

  1. It took me a full day to master reverse and I can now change down to 2nd on a hill . Only took 3 months .

  2. Lovely bus - like the colour.
Mine seemed perfect on viewing but on the way home it started to rain and water poured in through the windscreen which - had I taken the rose tinted specs off and stopped squeaking with excitement - I would have noticed was barely in place. Had to put my coat over the fuse box. Four hours later I literally sploshed out, soaked. £800 of welding and consequent front respray soon sorted that out though (sob).
But the windscreen wipers worked and two inches of water on the floor meant no holes in it, right? If you look for silver lining of the bright side you'll find it.... esp in a VW.

  3. hi and welcome,
    lovely bus you got there.

  4. Welcome. Nice looking bus. You will get used to the gears (eventually;)) but gives you an excuse to pop out for a run in it!

  5. Lovely looking bus, and welcome to a great place with lots of people who are willing to advise and help.
I viewed mine in the dark and drove it home a week later, a one hour drive took 2 1/2hrs, with popping, banging, stalling and nearly reversing into someone when I thought I had the box sussed!
But I loved every minute of it.

  6. Happy days:)

  7. Sweet looking bus :)
