  1. No and no lol

I had a good wiring diagram with the control panel so just used that. Was relatively easy in hindsight. Im in cornwall with the van this week dude!

  2. Ah ok cool, hope youre having a great time matey! The vans looking awesome all ready for camping! :)

  3. Well im pleased to say some more progress has been made.

Delilahs have done an awesome job on the RnR upholstery........ Blame the pink on Mrs Starr.

Found a nice tv to fix to the bulkhead. Its on a flush fitting swivel bracket so we can watch it in the van or swing it round 90 degrees to watch from the awning.

You can still see some of the original blue colour showing around the edges. (I hear you say!) Once ive finished all the big stuff ill go around and get them blacked out. Finishing touches.

Got some oil leaks to check out this weekend when i get it on the ramp. I know some is coming from the rocker cover gaskets and also from the oil draining plug / strainer and ive got some new gaskets for them.

Ill give it a good clean up and then try to find out where the rest is coming from. Im really not sure. It looks like its above the tinware and mostly either side of the pulley and around the base of the distributor. But a good clean up and run should show where its coming from.

A very nice conversion indeed. :) Does the sound deadening work well as insulation too? Im just about to insulate my T25 and not sure of the best stuff to use.
    :)

  5. Cheers marlin.

I bought some off ebay. Was about £30 for 20 sheets. It's about 7mm thick black sponges stuff. I think it made a difference. I covered the whole of the engine box sliding door and cab floor and I'm sure it works.

I measured it by the volume on the stereo lol I needed it full blast to hear it but now only 75% so I'm sure it helped.

  6. nicely done mate! looks great :)) im doing something similar with a twin door panel at the mo. how hard was it to cut the window aperture in? mine has a riviera drivers side slider with a jalousie window, and I want to put one in the passsenger side slider too :)
picking up my units in two weeks so trying to get it all sorted before that

  7. Well the last couple of years have seen a lot of time spent on my van. Apologies for the lack of posting, been busy. Ive still got a few things to do but I'm almost there with the way i wanted the van to look. As you guys know there are always things to fix / improve and change.

I have not put windows into the tailgate and rear panels as a i really like the van look. Doesn't seem to be too many around like this.
Things done over the last year.

    General Van maintenance
Engine rebuild ( did this twice, as the guy i paid did such a crap job i wanted to do it myself)
Twin Kadrons with the modified vacuum advance mod.
New suspension and bushes all round.
    Full heating system refurb.
Bushes to stiffen up the gear changer.
Brake fluid change to sharpen up the performance (much better now but may need to do some more in the coming years)
    Rear view camera fitted.

    Internal stuff

Im really happy with the way the interior is looking. All side panels, kick panels and doors have been clad in cream vinyl with a wadding behind to soften the touch.
Roof lining isn't coming on very well. After my second attempt I'm still not very happy with it. I thought i could use spray adhesive but turns out the vinyl was a bit heavy and in the warmer days the glue was not very effective. Ive done it a second time and used self adhesive sound proofing (originally intended for laminate / wood floor) This has worked fine but I'm still not happy with its finish. 3rd time lucky eh!
LED lights all fitted and secured and just need to find a decent leisure battery.

    Still to do

Engine / Carb / timing tune up needed to ensure its all running its best. (any recommendations for where to take it much appreciated)
Dashboard needs tidying up as the PO did some gash welding job to fill a double din hole.
Sliding door still not aligned correctly.
New door seals as the PO sprayed over them :)
Wheels will be powder coated and given new tyres for next year. (just need 1 more still wheel if anyone has one going spare)
Some body work needed in certain places, but I've spent enough so far, this can wait.

Anyway enough of my waffling. With all the above done i love driving my van. Any excuse and I'm out. Had to get some kitchen bits from Derby yesterday (120 mile round trip) so i took the van. Loved it. Cruises very well @ 110kph with some go left.

Here are some pics i used to get the agreed valuation.
