    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

There's one of a V8 with red hot exhaust manifolds but again it just dies in a cloud of smoke. :(

I think imbalance is key here. Build one up with one con rod much heavier than the rest. No tin ware or cooling, plenty of nitrous.

Then see who dares stand next to it the longest. Winner gets a can of warm Stella.

  4. How you getting on with this? Have you settled on what you'll do next?

  5. I got someone local (fortuitously a few miles away) to get on with it on my behalf Well, the engine side of things. Building aircooled engines is his job, so i’m hoping (hopefully not beyond hope) that i’ve found a competent professional.
Seems to know what he is doing as much of what’s been said accords with much i’ve read on here - baring in mind my huge gaps in knowledge.
He immediately blamed that botched Full-flow Oil System being blocked for the seizure. Much was still salvageable from the engine, but an equal amount needs replacing. Praying that my attempts to start the thing haven’t damaged the new Starter Motor - the old one was installed at the beginning of 2018.
I started a thread on Pan’s Engine Bay Refresh
‘Refresh’ quickly became a redundant term, as it became obvious ‘rebuild’ (in part) is more appropriate
Still, as with everything on my van, it’s 80% ok but horridly let down by 20% in utter disgrace.
I’m waiting on a welder now but will keep y’all posted.
    Thanks for being interested.
