  11. How did you get that much water in the fuel?

  12. dont know, the fuel lines were all removed inc tank and blew through with an airline during 1st lockdown, rust removal is more of a challenge for the time being, ran until this so must of been last fill up. Just gotta deal with it and use other garage from now on...

  13. Good news is beetle all up and running, not so good news is had to replace tank and filters. Got it running but was a pita to start from cold still. Chucked some old plugs in and fires right up, the original plugs were only new about 10 months ago so assuming they were chinese copies not bosch, ordered another set whilst on offer at euro carparts. Guess everyday is a school day. [IMG]

Old underground petrol tanks at garages can leak and let in water. A rise in water table with recent rain?
Our local marina has managed to get rain into their petrol storage tank feeding the pumps selling 152p a litre petrol in the past. ( I have seen somebody buy 700 litres in the past, been out on a RIB with 320L in the tanks.. )

The water killed one of the sailing clubs FI outboards.
