  1. Argh. Stealing my online identity !
Actually I quite like being named after a VW camper. I am a Westfalia though so I'm worth loads :D

  2. Nothing wrong with having a bit of British mixed with German . I do like the Westfalia though

  3. 14 steels and discs are standard late bay so go for it

  4. I just reread my reply and it reads like I was bragging about my van. I'm really sorry if it was read that way, it was not what I meant. I was trying to be humorous about myself and obviously failed miserably

  5. Thanks for confirming it , just replied back to Top Banana Racing. Not too sure if he means the wheels on that cool van or the ones you kindly mention in Cambridge ?

  6. :D
I didn't take any offence I agree it was humorous

  8. If you can secure the ones in Cambridge for me, I'll drop off those ones (off my Doka) on my way up on Sunday 16th and pick up the others on my way back down on 17th.

If you have non-standard disc (I think you said?) standard 14" may not fit and probably won't.
Petrol smells may be common but are NOT normal, you should investigate.
    Nice bus.

    Howdy! :)

  14. I need to compare the discs to my mates but I'm sure they are bigger than normal. in that case do you suspect 15" will fit ? my Porsche alloys are 16".I will replace the fuel and breather pipes I can get to. Would like to take out the engine to get at the tank but wouldn't know where to begin. Has anybody cut out holes and tacked it from above and made permanent access hatches?

Best to borrow a mates wheel for a minute and try it if you know anyone with standard wheels? You'd know for sure then. Or take a pic of the caliper and post it up here would be even less effort. :)
Often petrol smells will be the filler pipe and that's an engine out job. You can't really get at the breathers via a hole, it's the sender people cut a hole to get at. Why not contact the previous owner and ask if he replaced these hidden items?

  16. You've certainly given me food for thought.I will ask the previous owner if he changed them. I know it was a full restoration about 6 to 7 years ago?

  17. i will pray for you my son....theres plenty of meets......good dudes....n gals.......

I addicted to finding the easiest way from A to B. :D
Here's a good example - poss customer drove 4-500 miles round trip to buy a tatty dormobile roof, probably suffering from osmosis, THEN looked into how much to remove the PURPLE paint and repaint it. Answer - a lot more than buying a brand spanking new one, though he has gained the fittings. Look before ye leap springs to mind. ;)
