  2. Bizarre aren't they?
I've only ever scene* a couple, the last at a retro show a couple of years ago and this one is just down the road in the Leicesters.

That’s very tidy. I’ve never heard of them so just been internet researching. That particular car was auctioned at Bonhams last June. Guide price £12-15 K. Don’t know what it fetched though. It was one of only 29 for the UK market. I want one too now @Bernard Fishtrousers

  4. They're a bloody oddity too - essentially a rebodied Opel Senator!

An eFriend of mine had one.
And it was like, 'never meet your hero'.
It caused him many thousands of pounds worth of stress.

I suspect it's a car I could own, if both of my balls were steel.

  6. It's the interiors though on the Bagheera...

    They really are special.
I'm not keen on the poncy flared arches on that Murena though Jules, they're not factory are they?
A bloke I used to work with owned a Murena, the chap he bought it off spent ages banging on about how cheap it was to insure
& actually showed them his certificate, which said on it very clearly - MARINA!

I nearly bought one when I was 22yrs but the first wife expressed her dislike.......another car I should have bought and would have ended up saving money in the long run.

  8. Can I just take this opportunity to express my dislike of your first wife.

The current Mrs T (whom you know) has categorically told me I can’t have a Bond Bug

    Or an Opel GT

  10. I thought that the present Mrs T was a keeper, but frankly it's beginning to look like she's on borrrowed time as well.

Or my first Alfa from the mid 1980s (found an old photo of it):
A few months or so ago, and a year too late, I saw an old advert for an Alfa Sud Sprint like the above that someone had fitted a V6 into the rear of.

If the ad hadn’t been out of date I’d have bought it instantly.

And a red Dino 246 would do me too.
    Or even a Fiat Dino.

    Or an E-type

    Or a DB6

    Etc. etc.

  14. Would have to be Thunderbird 2, expecially if all the different pods came with it. Failing that, a BRG GT6.[IMG]

  15. Don't take pod 1. It's just full of gardening tools and the lawnmower.

  17. Nice as well, but not as sexy as the GT. Didn't used to see many Manta As, even in Germany.

Early Manta B hatches (without the body kit) were nice as well. I used to have a Cavalier Sportshatch (the same thing, but with the Vauxhall chicken on), and it was super-duper. Wish I still had it :(

I had one!!!!!! for two weeks. :(
the storms of ‘89 made a warehouse collapse on it. It was a lot lower afterwards and most definitely a writeoff.

My old Audi 80 back. You could call it a bit dull, but I loved it: rock hard, practical and galvanised
