One more project up and running…

  1. This 59 MGA roadster took me 15 years to restore. Over 30 years ago, my wife and I drove our 74 Westy from Vancouver Island to San Diego on a summer road trip. While there, we happened upon this glorious, barn find. She bought a pair of sandals (very nice ones) and I bought a tow bar at a flea market for $5 and towed this rust-free beauty back through LA and up over the hilly, ‘grapevine’ pass (not quite Death Valley, but close). It was slow going but with plenty of encouraging honks and waves. Our camper ran faultlessly.

Amazing! Sounds like another world as I sit here in my kitchen on a dark, cold January morning. a stunning motor and a great story!

  3. Thanks, even though it was so long ago, re-telling our adventures bring them back vividly. It’s pretty dreary and cold here too!
