That looks the business, would you be prepared to make me one?
PM me the cost if you'd prefer to keep it private.

  4. I may be interested in one too if the price was right?

  5. I reckon there is a market for these!

  6. In all honesty it would probably work out cheaper to do a group buy from the U.S. It a lot of work for me and If im always doing stuff for other people I'll never get my SC finished .....

  7. Hi All
is there any reason i cant drill and tap my existing taco plate to suit a sensor?

  8. The OG plate has a curved depression on it... So not ideal for getting a good seal on it!!

If you have a look at lhu's picture, you can see where he's TIG welded his plate with the adaptor holder

  9. Porsche ones aren't THAT expensive. $85 is only £54. Tax and delivery add to it. A group buy might save some off that and shipping will be a lot less per unit

  10. Hi Bertiebot
a group buy wont help me im in Australia

  11. what sort of cover have you got ...(they need a cover to keep the air flow off ) ? the correct porsche one is similar to the actual taco plate ......

There was a bloke on here that's made the perfect thing, including cover. :) Trouble is he flatly refuses to help out his fellow dubbers. :( Something to do with wanting to get his own van finished first.
I mean to say, selfish or what? :D

  13. I was thinking of making some aluminum ones... But time is short these days

  14. I haven't got a cover on mine but the sensor is almost touching the end of the dipstick inside the engine and well away from airflow. Did Porsche fit a cover? I have a CHT gauge and an oil pressure one too so my bus in well and truly monitored these days. I guess I could make a cover easy enough if it does make a difference to the oil temp readings

  15. True enough so it's $85 USD plus tax and shipping them I suppose

  16. I'd be up for a UK group buy...
