Oil leak at front of van? Help please

A customer of mine drove back from France without a steering coupler. The dangling bolts caught the bit on the steering box. He had about 1/2 turn of free play, but soldiered on, not even looking underneath. Possibly a relative of @lost-en-france .

That's what happens when you chuck your cracked but serviceable original coupler and replace with a Marmitee one. It tears to pieces, this one then jumped over the chassis and wrapped around the brake pedal lever stopping it fully returning, so he did a few hundred miles with the brakes on a bit too.

That's why I recommended keeping yours, but looking out for a good replacement. Some replacement ones are dangerous.

Far from it. It's your opinion as is my reply. Not sure who you offended though.

A secondhand box is just as likely to leak or be rubbish anyway.

Due to no time to test landmark I've meshed last inure and got the T4. This has resulted in delayed departure and delayed by 1 week mtg @davidoft :(.

I got to the road the ferry is on 20 mins ago, I'm still sat on it in a big queue :(. Even worse I'm busting for a wee as haven't stopped since Sheffield!

One slight scare at 90 mph I heard a noise and spotted the blue flashing lights on my tail, yikes! However, the police just wanted me out the way. Maybe they were pleased I was going fast enough to keep them from slowing too much :)

Oem doesn't mean genuine, it essentially means manufactured by the factory that supplied genuine items

  17. Putting in "Genuine and VW" in the description I feel isn't as clear as just putting " Original equipment manufacturer ", they can make to any standard now as they won't ever see a VW QA dept.

It's meant to be misleading but it's not illegal, the listings need reading twice to be sure
