About two days before camperjam i decided to change the cv joint on my volvo -- easy job done loadsa cv joints no probs . Job done , halfway to cj smell of oil , pull over , the inner cv joint was leaking gearbox oil like a good un , i tighten inner cv clamp refill with oil n carry on at a steady speed ,cj was a good weekend . For the journey home Rickyrooo1 gave me some more gearbox oil and we got home at a steady speed no problems , since then there has been a slow drip of oil from the inner cv joint and i have been constantly topping it up . Today i decided to service Lou's micra top up oils etc , afterwards i decided to have a proper look at the volvo's leak , twas a slight faux pau on the mechanics behalf --- I had put the retainer ring on the wrong way around , it was'nt retaining anything , no matter how hard i tightened the nuts there would be no connection -- William was watching when the penny dropped and has christened me the twonk :-[ :-[ :-[ Oh jesus i'm doing the brakes on the bus at the mo :
