I used to wear the sheepskin `UGG ' boots back in the early 70`s when they first came out in Oz, used to wear em on my BSA, nobody called me a poof then. They was also pretty damned cheap, bit of a fashion scene payment for them now. Do like those rigger style UGG boots though ;D

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,I`ll see if I can dig out some old photos ::)

One minute I'm voting for some bloke on M&S website - now I'm reading about UGG boots for men.

What is happening to me! :-[

    But then, I am a girl ;D

  11. I had my first pair of Uggs in 1994. I wore holes in them years before most people had ever even heard of them.
My aunt was a sales rep for the company that made them. They were originally marketed as unisex, and they looked it. There was never anything particularly masculine or feminine about an original buckskin Ugg. All my friends thought they were cool and wanted some for themselves. (male and female)
Then women started snarfing them up left and right, rolling them down to show a cutesy ring of fur, next thing you know they're making them in pink and men would have nothing to do with them.
Stupid really. Warmest, most comfortable thing I ever slid my foot into.
I was living in Michigan at the time. We often had snow over a foot deep for months at a time and my driveway was 300 feet long. Those uggs made many cozy hikes to and from the mail box in my pajamas.
It's a shame every woman in the world had to have a pair. It first made everybody assume they were just for women, then everybody got tired of seeing them everywhere.
Well I don't care. I had them first and if I ever move back to Michigan I will blurpy well have them again. :moon:

  12. Clearly they are mens boots as I have been setting off fireworks tonight and they kept my feet real cozy, some people not so sure when I went in their house, no socks and toe ring, they start to form a different opinion on those sort of minor details ::)

  13. i have just puchased a mighty fine pair oh UGG mens slippers and there absolutely fantastic. :) :) :) :) :)
