After 3 years of lying underneath with a welder I'm on the stretch that hopefully leads to a field in Devon June 2nd!! At the start many years ago and far away it was a "hotch potch" of beaten up Viking camper and rust but I dont know vans at all and struggle a bit with electrics and the diagrams but heh ho what to do when you retire.. So please indulge me with same daft questions - today one is; Where is the best location for the accelerator pedal floor bracket, a or b? Two locations seem plausible as in the two pictures ie it will move over the range of the mechanism but which is better? On the plate of behind? Or should I turn the bracket around and fix it to the edge of the plate?
Back to front. It should point forwards, tucked under the pedal. Other than that, connect it all up and experiment as you have been doing.
If you have replaced that bit of floor, there should be two dimples that denote where the spot welds should be.
