I must confess I can't see him simply saying yes to this offer on a whim as discussed this morning.

He works every morning on radio 2 and does the one show I think....can't see how he can find time for Top Gear without asking...

That would explain her being there, although she sould bring a wealth of experience and there may even be bike reviews from her time covering the GP's.

he only does the one show on a friday, and you're assuming the format stays the same and he goes off galavanting round the world, for all we know he could just film studio links one day a week and not do the flyaway bits like old top gear?

said it before and i'll say it again....presenting Top Gear will be the ruin of Guy Martin IMO...i stand to be corrected if he got the job, but he has more charisma and genuine passion for what he does than the last three TG presenters put together, and as part of a team I think his character would be stifled.....

 

Joss Stone would be a good female co presenter....but i'd still prefer Lisa Rogers, as she was good on Scrapheap.....

 

Like I said before it wont work with another well established presenter, it's like the Scum Man Utd job and numerous other things. Never be the one to follow the best they've had The chosen one will fail then the next one, probably unknown or in the shadows like Clarkson was will do something new and exiting and it'll take off again, If their lucky, I don't even know why I'm commenting coz I ain't bothered. Look at my face, does it look bothered

 

Lets hope not, that bloke is one of the biggest tools on the planet!

 

So, how long before it turns into the utter bow locks that will be TFITG? YAYYYY, Lets get a big fan and a sack of feathers and blow them all over the studio audience! (insert big yawning smiley here) Top Gear is dead to me now.

Jodi Kidd is the bookies favourite as the female presenter, if this happens then TG will be buried even deeper in my book because I find her as a presenter about as interesting and attention grabbing as a slug race, I don't think she's much in the eye candy department either.

They sack one twart (but I liked him) and employed an even BIGGER one (which I could happily punch in the face until my hand got tired then change hands). Shall we start bets on how long it takes before TFITG gets relegated to the vaults of You Tube or dave jar view?
