Body and structure is pretty sound, engine needed some work when we got it. Decided to stick with the twin 36ICT's but changed the manifolds for CB Performance versions. Electronic ignition has also been done along with both drive shafts, and a few other bits and bobs.

It's not perfect (far from) - but we like it. SWMBO is responsible for the interior as she wants to replace all the door panels with colour coded versions.

Oh, forgot to mention that it's had a JK Devon cap fitted as well to cure a few leaks up top.

    Or alloy wheels .

The hubcaps that were on it clearly had the lowest quality chrome as they rusted and pitted after a few days.

Can't decide at the moment though between hubcaps or alloys. I like the look of steel wheels with hubcaps, but alloys also have an appeal.

Need to drop it by a couple of inches. Front is easy with dropped spindles, still trying to decide the best way to do the rear (suggestions welcome).

Do some reading first, lowering the front with spindles is just the start of altering the suspension. Next comes smaller tyres that throw the speedo out, then 10 different shocks while you try and stop the tyre rubbing the wheel tub over bumps. Just when you think you've cracked it you load up to go camping and it's doing it again! It looks great how it is, just buy some hubcaps. I speak as someone who's lowered a bus with spindles then put it back to stock as I was sick of slowing down for bumps. I've also had a very, very slightly lowered one which was OK but it was barely lowered. Save yourself a load of money and frustration is my advice.
Alloys? Noooo! its an old classic VAN not a boy racer mobile!
